COVID-19 Precautions

During the COVID-19 pandemic Hillcrest continues to follow the guidelines set by The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Our community has been fortunate in that we have not experienced a serious outbreak of this virus. The COVID-19 Vaccination has also been offered to our residents and staff.

Using the guidelines set by HHSC we have been able to enact the following Visitation Policy:

Each resident can designate 2 individuals to be named as essential caregivers. Those 2 individuals can come into the community and visit with the resident in his/her suite.There will be a COVID screening at the door and the caregiver is to wear a mask throughout the visit.

We are also able to offer outdoor visits. A resident may schedule a visit outside in a designated sitting area set up by staff. A resident can also leave the community for the day provided they wear a mask. For further information on the COVID-19 guidelines please contact the Community Director.
